The Wirrpanda Foundation, with the support of the National Indigenous Australians Agency, will design, establish and deliver the WA Indigenous Business and Employment Hub (Wirra Hub). The Wirra Hub is a key deliverable under the Australian Government’s Indigenous Business Sector Strategy (IBSS).

Whom will Wirra Hub service?

The Hub will service Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses (of various sizes, corporate structures and maturities) and businesses seeking to employ Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people or purchase from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses

What services will Wirra Hub provide?

  • Provide business, commercial advice and support to enhance the capability and capacity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People
  • Connect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with existing mainstream and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander-specific business and employment support services
  • Provide short term office space including bookable offices, meeting rooms, training rooms and workstations

The Hub will be a provider of business support services, information and commercial support. The Hub will enable Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to establish and grow sustainable businesses by:

  • Linking them with industry to improve collaboration
  • Providing access and new opportunities to businesses
  • Developing growth capacity
  • Helping businesses to become self-sustainable and competitive in the wider market
